1. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems or other users' data;
- interfere with the Site's operation, including by overloading, scraping at scale, or circumventing rate limits or access controls;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code, except where permitted by law;
- use the Site to build a competing product or to train AI models;
- post or transmit unlawful, harmful, infringing, deceptive or misleading content.
2. Intellectual property
The Site, including all text, graphics, software, designs, trademarks and other content (excluding content you submit), is owned by Causa Prima or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view and use the Site for your personal or internal business purposes. No other rights are granted.
3. Submissions and feedback
Any feedback, suggestions or ideas you send us about the Site or our products may be used by us without restriction or compensation. You confirm that you have the right to provide such feedback and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
4. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uptime or uninterrupted operation. Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment or other professional advice.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Causa Prima is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Site.
The exclusions above do not apply to (a) liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), or (b) infringement of your intellectual property rights by us.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Website Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Site, its users or third parties.
7. Privacy and cookies
We process personal data in connection with the Site as described in our Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are governed by our Cookie consent page.
8. Invoice recipient data
If you generate invoices using Scribo, you represent and warrant that you have a lawful basis to provide us with the personal data of invoice recipients and any other third parties contained in those invoices, and for us to process that data to provide and operate the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You will indemnify us against any third-party claim or regulatory action arising from a breach of this warranty.
9. Changes
We may update these Website Terms from time to time. The current version is indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany, provided that this exclusive jurisdiction does not apply where mandatory consumer-protection law assigns jurisdiction elsewhere.
11. Languages
These Website Terms are published in English and German. In case of any inconsistency between the two versions, the English version prevails.
